Job Description
Primary responsibilities of the Senior Credit Analyst include performing underwriting analysis and preparing loan presentations for credit approval (moderately complex to extremely complex difficulty level).
Key Responsibilities
Prepare loan presentations for credit approval (moderately complex to extremely complex difficulty level).
Underwrite loan presentations including the following:
Describe facilities/relationship including purpose of debt
Complete a business summary and current update
Identify and mitigate (when necessary) procedural exceptions
Analyze collateral and Financial statements
Cash flow Including global cash flows when necessary, and loan covenants
Detail financial reporting requirements
Provide relevant industry analysis
Analyze guarantor/personal cash flow
Complete all necessary coding tied to loans (NAICS, Fed Call Code, etc.)
Guide loan presentations through the approval process.
May assist relationship managers with structuring and risk assessment on loan relationships.
May attend approval committees when necessary and complete minutes.
May work with Senior Market Leadership on occasion but is generally focused on underwriting production.
May provide mentoring of Credit Analysts.
May attend and assist with credit calls and/or field audits as requested.
Required Experience
Minimum 4 years financial analysis with 2-5 years credit analyst experience preferred.
Must have experience analyzing business financial statements; experience in financial statement spreading or loan documentation a plus.
Must have several years experience in underwriting loans with the ability to add value to the underwriting process through recommendations/probing questions to the lender (i.e., loan structuring, in-depth financial analysis, etc.).
Able to underwrite all types of loans including fairly complex loan requests.
Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills, good communication skills with above-average computer skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship building skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; must function as a team player and have the ability to lead projects.
Attention to detail and accuracy is critical and must also demonstrate the ability to think creatively to provide added value to the underwriting and credit process.
Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting, finance, or other applicable discipline; the appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
