Key
Responsibilities:
Part-time position (20 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
Support development and testing of Client products at the Center for Insect Science.
The candidate will be responsible for the execution of housefly maintenance schedule.
This includes overseeing the housefly development from egg to adult and recording colony data.
The candidate is also responsible for cleaning laboratory equipment, work area and dishes, re-stocking of supplies, and other miscellaneous duties.
The candidate will report irregularities to the full-time Client insectary staff.
Must be comfortable being around and working with insects.
Must pay attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
Ability to work well independently.
Must have excellent attendance and punctuality to report to work on time.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Required to work on holidays that fall on weekdays.
Technical degree or Bachelor degree preferred.
