022365 Summit Mold Process Tech 1st shift

Responsible for the efficient operations and activities of all process related activities. Develops processes to obtain higher quality and greater output. Qualities all new molds and machines. Helps develop training methods and documentation. Works with production control in assigning mold/machine combinations. Develops process windows and approves process changes. Approves plugging and unplugging of cavities. Approves Run on Hold rejects and any mold protection adjustments. Proficient in troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Can identity and resolve problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions. Performs major troubleshooting when it is beyond the level of the Molder. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. The position requires at least 4-6 years of plastic processing or equivalent experience in a molding operation with strengths in mechanical and process aspects of molding technology. Requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be fluid in the use of computers and be able to use basic word processing and technical software packages. Needs to be able to read and understand blue prints and mechanical drawings and have the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
