Racine ZooSpecial Events ManagerJOB PURPOSE:
The Special Events/Sales Manager develops, coordinates, and executes special events, seasonal festivals, promotions, concerts, and details pertaining to special guests or organizations.
Creates, administers, and executes events.
Responsible for the administrative functions associated with all these events.
Works regularly with outside vendors, Zoo staff and volunteers Develops, plans and implements events, ensuring that they are well organized and smoothly run.
Attends events to ensure that guests are engaged and comfortable in order to enhance their Zoo experience.
Creates and manages timeline for each event to maximize efficiency for the benefit of staff and hosts.
Maintains excellent working relationships with all divisions throughout the Zoo in order to facilitate and expedite their cooperation for the smooth functioning of all events.
Oversees requests and work of outside vendors to ensure that their work is done according to contract and budget.
Keeps staff informed on upcoming activities.
Develops expense and revenue projections for events Contracts for equipment, facilities, services, and entertainment Monitors contract compliance Manages the work of event staff Oversees event and responds to operational issues Provides event analysis and cost evaluation Represents the Zoo in interactions with guests and the general public.
Experience Required
Qualifications:
Experience in special event planning and execution of special events.
Must have excellent written, oral and public speaking communication skills.
Commitment to excellence.
Experience with project management and team participation.
Must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
Must have demonstrated multitasking skills.
Must have pleasant, professional demeanor.
Absolutely must be able to work nights and weekends as required for events.
Ability to use computerized programs for database, data processing and other communication software.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to think and work outside the box.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
