Live-in Caregiver

The Live-in Caregiver is responsible for the care of a client 24 hours per day in the client's private setting. He or she will stay in the client''s home and be provided with private sleeping quarters. The Caregiver will help the client with activities of daily living, including supervising, feeding, or dressing. Other duties, such as light housekeeping, will not exceed more than 20% of the work performed on a daily or weekly basis.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED (at a minimum) and has completed any state-mandated testing/training. Previous experience is preferred. He or she must submit to random drug and alcohol testing, must be bondable, and must meet or exceed the minimum qualifications for the required background checks, including Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, and Professional and Personal Reference Checks. In addition, he or she has a genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled, reliable transportation, a valid driver''s license, a clean driving record, and current automobile insurance. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
