The Financial Analyst & Consultant executes JFG's internal financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis under the direction of the SVP of Finance. The Financial Analyst & Consultant is positioned as a trusted financial advisor providing sound, relevant, impactful & timely analysis to all JFG business partners (regional presidents, line of business managers, support managers and external parties including vendors and auditors). The position operates within JFG's matrix business model and collaborates with business partners to achieve both tactical and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Execute internal financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting functions for assigned JFG Regions, Lines of business and Support functions (the FP& A Team supports approximately $200
million of revenue, 1,000
associates and 330 cost centers).
Perform daily financial decision support for business partners (JFG Regions, Lines of business and Support Areas - leaders and teams).
Completes formal & ad hoc financial reporting, analysis and modeling.
Success requires advanced understanding of assigned business units and all financial reports.
Frequently presents to business partners and is expected to provide financial alternatives & recommendations to business problems.
Common projects include evaluating revenue enhancement/cost containment initiatives, goal setting including new hires & incentives, product evaluations, contract negotiations, investments, acquisitions/divestitures.
Periodic collaboration with third parties (auditors & vendors) is expected.
Assist business partners with JFG Board and business performance meeting preparation including materials.
Leads efforts for assigned business partners with respect to the annual budget process.
Participates in the CEO/CFO review meetings with Business Partners (BPs).
The position collaborates with the Accounting & Corporate Treasury Teams to complete JFG's financial mission and control requirements including the monthly financial flash and close processes, periodic forecasting and board meeting preparation.
Construct and maintain pricing models as required by the assigned region or line of business. Maintain required documentation per regulatory guidelines and participate in 3rd party model validations. Execute improvement recommendations that are agreed to by JFG leadership.
The position frequently represents Finance in company-wide initiatives (tactical
strategic). This requires the analyst & consultant to work effectively with JFG's senior and executive managers.
The position frequently collaborates with Financial System Business Analysts & third party consultants to maintain all enterprise performance management models including documentation. The Analyst & Consultant actively participates in model requirements definition, testing and validation.
The Analyst & Consultant actively participates in internal expense allocation and profitability reporting projects (product & customer). The Analyst & Consultant ensures the assigned area(s) are accurately represented in all models.
Required Experience
10
years of relevant experience preferred. Financial services specific experience in accounting, finance or treasury preferred. Greater experience may be required at certain levels.
BA or BS required. MBA or CPA preferred and may be required at certain levels.
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills required. All levels.
Current knowledge of industry theory (Financial & GAAP) & best practice required. All levels.
Proficiency with an enterprise performance management tool including Longview, SAP, or IBM/Cognos preferred. All levels.
Strong Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills required. All levels.
Maintains appropriate confidentiality of sensitive JFG information.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
