Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing and executing talent sourcing strategies aimed at finding exceptional candidates throughout all areas within the business. Develops clearly defined and effective talent sourcing plans for each area by partnering closely with hiring managers to understand and forecast talent needs. Creatively and proactively uses social media, networking sites, user groups, academic partnership, associations, passive candidate search and the applicant database to create a pipeline of candidates for high volume/ time sensitive position vacancies.
This position is based in Racine, WI but will have required travel to various locations throughout our Goodwill territory of Southeastern WI and Metro Chicago areas.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Develop and execute effective and innovative sourcing strategies.
Maintain a talent acquisition process that is brand focused, consistently utilized and meets the needs of an ever changing and growing Goodwill population.
Source and recruit applicants by using methods including but not limited to, print and electronic advertising, social media, career fairs, networking, cold calling, college and university programs, community agencies, workforce centers, professional associations, employee referral programs to build talent pipelines for current and future needs.
Evaluate, track and report on sourcing effectiveness including but not limited to; cost per hire (paid contracts), sourcing campaign outcomes and overall source performance (applicant volume, applicant quality, application to hire.)
Work with hiring managers to forecast and determine open positions, understand position requirements and candidate success profiles. Prepare employment requisition in recruiting system. Manage resume flow and candidate communications to set and maintain clear expectations related to current disposition and next steps within recruiting process.
Complete and distribute weekly report on position vacancies, sourcing activities and applicant flow.
Develop an effective network throughout territory including community job placement services, private personnel agencies, colleges, employees and other organizations to ensure a steady, diverse applicant flow.
Conduct new hire orientation to familiarize new employees with the organization and participate in orientation training as needed.

Initiates, connects and builds relationships with candidates, referrals channels and within groups, clubs and professional associations.
Well-versed and comfortable with in person, phone and multi-media networking including but not limited to Skype meetings, video chats, social media and other private and direct messaging platforms as well as, presenting to internal and external audience and networking at community functions.
Marketing
Ability to write ad content/recruitment pieces that attract and targets top candidates; showcases the job in the market in a way that resonates and creates interest and applicant flow.
Able to independently market opportunities using multiple social media channels including Twitter, Facebook.
Connect with individuals to build personal brand, establish trust, expand network and share employee value proposition.
Salesmanship
Initiates outreach and activities that generates enthusiasm about the company and inspires talent to apply.
Markets candidates to hiring managers, gains interest to advance to interview; drives efficient and effective interviewing and hiring process.
Ability to plan, coordinate and negotiate offers successfully.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
A minimum of two years related recruiting experience.
Excellent communication skills necessary to influence others.
Must work flexible schedule based on business needs. Additional nights/weekends may be required as business warrants.
Knowledge of federal and state laws which affect employment.
Knowledge of Affirmative Action guidelines preferred.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Ability to work with and retain information confidentially in both written and verbal form.
Ability to promote positive working relationships with others.
Ability to operate personal computer and database systems.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast moving environment.
Good telephone skills and an ability to greet visitors and job applicants presenting a neat, professional appearance, courteous manner and pleasant personality.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:
Able to travel to various sites and move about the work environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
